This is a physical model of Y-Group’s project collaborated with Ando Tadao architect. The project is an annex of the existing well-known Bontae museum located in Seogwipo-si, Jeju. 

Ando Tadao pursued these.

Using exposed concrete, natural elements such as light and water were actively utilized in a purely geometric building to pursue convergence between buildings and living nature.

By using the sloping land in a reversed manner, the Bontae Museum sought to harmonize the different triangles and square spaces of each floor, which meet at different heights.

We kept in contact with the Ando Tadao office, studied, and realized the accuracy and implementation method of the design pursued.

Artworks by World-class artists such as Andy Warhol, Paik Nam-joon, and Yayoi Kusama will be moved to this annex by the summer of 2025.

노출콘크리트를 사용하여 순수 기하하적인 형태의 건물에 자연적 요소인 빛과 물을 적극적으로 활용하여 건축물과 살아있는 자연과의 융합을 추구하였다.

본태박물관은 경사진 대지를 역활용하여 서로 다른 높이에서 만나는 각 층의 색다른 삼각과 사각형의 공간의 조화를 추구하였다.

우리는 그들 사무소와 꾸준히 컨택하며, 추구하는 디자인의 정확성과 구현 방법을 연구하고 실현하였다. 

앤디 워홀, 백남준, 쿠사마 야요이 등의 세계적인 미술작품들이 2025년 여름쯤에 별관으로 옮겨질 예정이다.
